Composer Erik Griswold, author Rodney Hall, artist Glen Henderson, koto virtuoso Satsuki Odamura and Adelaide’s Zephyr Quartet come together for a special music-theatre presentation exploring the life of painter Ian Fairweather.
Narrated by Rodney Hall, Fairweather traces the artist’s experiences as a soldier in World War I, his travels through the Asia-Pacific and his final years in a dilapidated shack on Bribie Island.
This special performance event is a collage of music, text and image which mirror the intricate, textured layers of Fairweather’s paintings.
