Described as ‘The Greatest Literary Show on Earth’ the Jaipur Literature Festival – an international feast of cultural connections and new perspectives - is coming to Adelaide.
As part of OzAsia Festival 2018, the three-day JLF in Adelaide event will showcase the artistic, literary and culinary heritage of South Asia and the world with books, ideas, food, music, dialogue and debate.
Authors, journalists, musicians, thinkers and activists will descend on Adelaide from Friday 9 November to Sunday 11 November, including the festival’s Artistic Directors and celebrated writers William Dalrymple and Namita Gokhale.
JLF in Adelaide will be completely free and feature curated talks and readings from international and local writers of fiction, poetry and nonfiction taking a deliberately Asian perspective on diverse topics from politics, economics, sport, travel and cinema to gender, environment, science, history and arts.
A free outdoor music program will accompany JLF in Adelaide at the popular Lucky Dumpling Market and will feature Grammy Award-winning percussionist Vikku Vinayakram and talented drummer Selvaganesh as well as Mumbai based fusion band Kabir Café.
